The job opportunities for geologists are increasing day by day. After getting the degree from reputed institutes or universities, you can work both in domestic as well as international arena. There are many other area where you can work like mineralogy, volcanology, hydrology or oceanography. Those working in environmental geology can work for private companies or consulting firms to help them in manage water resources. Geologists can work in the industries related to mining, oil and gas, minerals and water resources. They can also employ in the college and universities as a teacher. Regards.

Most of the geologists are self-employed as geological consultants or work with environmental consulting firms. The U. S. Geological Survey or Department of Energy employed the geologists for research and solving problems assignments. In India, I think there are only 3 ways to get Dr. prefix before your name. You have to present a thesis/theory/research paper on any of discipline Science/art/history etc. To get a Ph.D. degree from a university after post graduation. Universities facilitate personnel recognizing their contribution in many field such as literature, Science, sports, music, cinema, social service etc. Be a doctor, professional medical practitioner with medical degrees such as MBBS B.A. M. S. BHMS MD etc. Regards.

Placement scenario is average here as colleges like BIMTECH provide 95+ but our college provides about 75% placements in companies like, 99acres.com, Aon, Bluedart, DHL etc, average package is about 3.5 LPA.

Hello!
There's nothing known as a "better stream". All streams are best in their ways and cannot be compared. Although, if you to compare engineering with medicine, they both have pros and cons and MBBS is a slow career while engineering will be dynamic. You can ask more about it to someone close to you who can analyse your need and the stream's requirement.

Actuarial analyst. Actuary. Chartered accountant. Chartered certified accountant. Data analyst. Data scientist. Investment analyst. Research scientist (maths and you can also pursue M.Sc, then Ph.D if you want).

Well, by doing B.Sc in Electronics, you can join a junior college, as an assistant lecturer. Then, you can appear for UPSC exams and join companies like BHEL, CDAC, etc., which are government undertakings. Finally, you can join research groups like IEEE or ISTE and work as a researcher.
