(Design - Interior and Furniture) programme focuses on cultivating skills required in interior and furniture design through sound conceptual foundations and intensive studio work using emerging technologies and interdisciplinary exposure. The programme provides a choice of department electives and opportunities to connect with industry through visits and educational tours to broaden the horizon of design thinking and professional work options. The students are trained for professional practice and execute designs keeping in mind sustainable practices and ethical issues to enhance the comfort, safety, utility and aesthetics of the built environment. The eligibility criteria are -Pass with 90% aggregate marks in 10+2  (with English) or equivalent.                                                   OrPass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2  (with English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or UCEED or Under Graduate NID DAT (Prelims) or Graduate NIFT or NIFT B.FTech.For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject. Thank you.

The advanced studies in the field of interior and furniture design is strengthened with the inputs of advanced ergonomics, craft and conservation. The students are prepared to establish themselves as design innovators, researchers and leaders to strengthen the design industry and design culture, bridge the gaps/solve the existing problems with novel design ideas keeping in mind sustainable practices and ethical issues to enhance the comfort, safety, utility and aesthetics of the built environment.The eligibility criteria is - Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 4 Years Bachelor's Degree with Design or Fine Arts or Applied Arts or B. Arch. or B. Plan. or B. Construction Management or B.Tech. (Any Stream) or Allied fields or equivalent.The programme fees per semester is 80000 INR, without any scholarship. It will be reduced after qualify scholarship test.
