You just need to qualify entrance exam (if any) or even many institutes give direct admission to the students on the basis of their performance in last qualifying exam. You can do biotechnology-related courses from:

Yes, to pursue biotechnology four year course in any reputed engineering college in India, you need to have Mathematics in +2. Also, most courses teach basic mathematics in the first year, and other courses like computational methods and bio-statistics in consequent years. For this knowledge of +2 Maths is essential.

The placement here is quite appreciating. Many big companies like Ford, Tata, Reliance, etc. , visit the college for placements. The highest package was from the Ford company with Rs 4.5 LPA. It provides the students with good internships. The highest stipend for internships was Rs. 5000. The college has a dedicated placement cell. Although, 70% students are placed on-campus while others have to go for pool campus rounds which is a drawback and getting lucrative offers becomes next to impossible with such drives. B.Tech course is the better option. Selection will be on the basis of the engineering entrance examination and marks obtained in Plus Two or equivalent examinations in Science subjects.
