B.Tech Biotechnology is a 4 Years course, which deals with technological applications in Biology while B.Sc. Biotechnology is a 3-year course. Later, students can go for M.Sc. Course and then Research later. If you want to pursue Research Career like Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, etc. Then choose B.Sc/M.Sc Biotechnology. Then Ph.D. if interested.

The four-year B.Tech. Curriculum focuses on the technological applications in biology. The three-year B.Sc. Course is conducted as any other Science subject and the students can go for the M.Sc. Course and take up research later. The B.Tech Course is a better option. After a B.Tech degree, students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs and institutions in India. For B.Tech biotechnology, you need to have your intermediate degree with one subject as biology. Also, you need to have 60% marks in both matric and intermediate.
