Hello Preeti Singh, I am afraid that a student can get admission in PG courses in engineering only in the paper of GATE that they have cleared. One can not get admission in any other branch. Best wishes to you.

You have asked a very interesting and pertinent question. Foreign companies do recruit students during placements season. However, for a person who is already working, this path is not available. There are really very slim chances for companies from abroad to recruit from India. But then countries like Canada have announced that they will allow immigration of almost 4 Lacs persons every year. You can attempt via this to immigrate and get a job there. Other European countries seek professionals in desired fields to immigrate. Hello Burra, I am afraid that what you are seeking is not available. UGC had decided that no university will offer any professional course including engineering via open or distance learning method. Hence this route is just not possible. Alternatively if you are working then you can think of doing AMIE, which is equivalent to graduation in engineering for all purposes. Best wishes to you.

Apart from IIT, top colleges for civil engineering are National Institute of Technology, R.V.College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun,Lovely Professional University etc.

Yes, you can go ahead with your desired programme. Yes, It is possible to join B.Tech course after completing B.Sc. Through the lateral entry scheme which is offered by most of the Engineering colleges in India. The lateral entry is only given to candidates who have either completed Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. Course. What it means is that you would be given admission in the second year of the Engineering course of your choice which you can select depending on the subject in which you completed your B.Sc.
