Based on rankings, both colleges are placed quite high and are more or less ranked equally for CS engineering degrees. DY Patil is ranked 4th whereas Bhartiya Vidya peeth is ranked 5th in the recent rankings published for the year 2018, for engineering colleges in Pune. These rankings take into account a number of factors like placements, infrastructure, fee structures etc. Regards.

You can appear for different engineering entrance examinations like JEE which is the most important and if you qualify then you'll get a chance to get in the IITs by appearing in the JEE Advanced. You can also apply for the state entrance exams. They also include government colleges which are affordable. If you get a decent rank in JEE MAIN, then also there are chances you will get a government college. Government colleges are cheap and good. Try to get in them. Every decent private college is expensive. So try to get a government college.

There are many other options too such as Database management, Big data and data analytics. It depends on your interest basically. And you can always do a job first and then get your post graduation degree.
