Hello Jake,
The major difference between both these field is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the science that facilitates these applications.
To make it short and simple, Computer Science is the creation of software and hardware by using different programming skills. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task.

Hi Saurabh,
After securing 102 rank, you have a high possibility to get Bhagalpur or MIT. Though WBJEE government colleges are also good.
I hope it will help you.

Hello Siddharth,
Yes, you can do it. If you don't get placed in a good company, you may approach the companies directly.
But you can get a job outside the campus only if you have a good profile which gives you an edge over others.
So it is better to get on campus placement itself and gain some work experience. After that, you may update your profile and then you can approach a top company for recruitment.
Hope this helps you.
All the best.
