Hello Vaibhav,
SRM conducts its own entrance exam. So, if you want to take admission there then you have to appear for SRMJEE. However if you are in top 1000 in JEE Mains then you are given admission in SRM without their JEE. It's interesting.

The syllabus of B.Tech computer science and engineering (CSE) and IT overlaps between 80 to 90% in various universities. CSE is the study of computers and computational systems. Computer scientists deal mostly with software and software systems; this includes their theory, design, development and application. IT engineering is application of CS for enterprises to meet business goals. CS graduates can easily do both application and systems development whereas as IT engineers are trained to work on application development. Indian IT industry prefers CS graduates over IT because CS is branch taken by toppers in all engineering entrance ex

Hello Trilok,
It is not compulsory to have Computers as a subject in 10+2 for B.Tech in Computer Science. The mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. However, it is recommended to have Computers as a subject in 12th as it sets the foundation. The same topics are covered in the first year of engineering, so students who have already studied the same in 12th standard have a better chance to score good right from the first year. I hope it helps. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Hello Shivam,
Until 2015, it was possible to take direct admission in most of the private engineering colleges in India without appearing for any entrance examination. However, 2016 onwards, Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) has made it mandatory to have a valid score in the respective entrance examination for every student, regardless of whether you take admission via counselling or direct admission.
If a student doesn't have a valid score in the respective entrance examination, the corresponding university will not accept the registration of the student, thereby cancelling his/her admission. So, beware of those fraud ag
