B.Tech Eligibility

Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII standard. From schools situated in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII standard. Or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Based on the cut off marks availed by the candidate in the 12 th the respective domains will be availed. Feel free to ask any doubts.

The eligibility criteria for pursuing a B.Tech course at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) are as follows:
1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
2. The candidate must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in PCM (45% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying examination.
3. The candidate must have a valid score in JEE Main/TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions)/BITSAT (Bannari Amman Institute of Technology Science Aptitude Test).
4. The age of the candidate should not be more than 25 years.
5. The candidate must have a good moral character and should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two attempts.

TMISAT (Tolani Maritime Institute Science Aptitude Test) is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Tolani Maritime Institute for admission to its B.Tech. Marine Engineering and B.Tech. Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering programs. The eligibility criteria for TMISAT for the B.Tech. Course are as follows:
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Minimum Marks: The candidate should have secured at least 60% marks (for General category candidates) or 55% marks (for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate in the qualifying examination. Age Limit: The candidate should be less than 21 years of age as on the 1st of September of the year in which they are seeking admission. Physical Fitness: The candidate should meet the medical and physical fitness standards set by the Institute. Entrance Exam: The candidate should appear for the TMISAT entrance exam and secure a minimum of 60% marks. It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria is only the first step towards admission to TMISAT. The admission process also includes a Personal Interview and medical examination. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the TMISAT entrance exam, Personal Interview and medical examination. Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are premier engineering institutes in India and have a very competitive admission process. The eligibility criteria to pursue a B.Tech. Course from IITs are as follows:
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Minimum Marks: The candidate should have secured at least 75% marks (for General and OBC-NCL category candidates) or 65% marks (for SC, ST, and PwD category candidates) in aggregate in the qualifying examination. Age Limit: The candidate should be less than 25 years of age as on October 1 of the year in which they are appearing for the JEE Advanced examination. There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST, and PwD category candidates. Entrance Exam: The candidate should have appeared for the JEE Main examination and secured a rank in the top 2,50,000 candidates (including all categories) in Paper 1. Category Certificate The candidate belonging to the reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD) should have a valid category Certificate issued by the competent authority. It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria is only the first step towards admission to an IIT.
