B.Tech Eligibility

Yes you are eligible for pursuing B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in AICTE/UGC approved Institutes through lateral mode after Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The few colleges are listed below.

Pursuing distance B.E./ B. Tech courses is not valid as per UGC AICTE guidelines.

First of all, everyone should have passed in 10 + 2 in any of subjects then those people are eligible for B.Tech.

You can but you will have to prepare for JEE and after clearing it you can get college according to your rank in JEE.

Hello Dsouza YT, there is no specific entrance exam conducted for this course. Students have to take the entrance exams prescribed by their state government. E. g. In Tamil Nadu, there is no exam. In Maharashtra, there is MHT CET in UP, and Odisha it's JEE Mains, etc. Best wishes to you.

You are eligible for B.Tech you can choose private colleges or low cutoff colleges.

No, you can't get direct admission to government College for B.Tech through management quota.

You can join private universities without the entrance exam.
