B.Tech Eligibility NIT Srinagar - National Institute of Technology

I got 96.09 percentile in JEE Mains 2019 conducted in January. Will I get a seat in NIT? According to Shiksha, my rank is 34173.

Are B.Tech ECE graduates eligible for M.Tech. CSE in all/most universities, based only on GATE score? Which universities don't allow this?

Hello,
Yes, ECE students can take up CSE GATE.
However, this is not as easy as it looks. You need to work your off to crack the exam.
Also, note that a few colleges require you to have a degree also in the same domain as the
GATE paper. For instance, I am ECE and I want to take up "Automobile technology" at some college listed under their department of Mechanical Engineering. Hence, I appear for GATE ME paper, but still not eligible to get that particular course because the college also requires me to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME).

Will a student be eligible to sit for campus placements if he has scored 51% in class 10th, 72% in class 12th and 70% in B.Tech CSE?

Yes, students are eligible to sit for campus placement according to you with 70% in B.Tech CSE. Maximum companies allow the candidate with 65% and above in that semester. In most of the cases, written test and interview is what decides. Thank you.

For admission in IIT DELHI, you have to give the GATE exam and score high marks above 700 out of 1000. Basically, it depends on branch and categories wise cut-off rise under 500 rank to get in GATE exam. Thank you.
