The minimum percentage for this course is 55%, but some of the colleges give admission in lower percentage also on behalf of their college exams. So you can try for different colleges and be prepared for their exams.

Eligibility for B.Tech Programs (Duration: 4 years):
(a) Nationality and Age
Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE (UG).
Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by the Government of India who have not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under international student category only. Should have attained the age of 16+ on 31st July of the calendar year in which class 12th board examination is to be held (source).
(b) Qualifying Examination

Getting C.V. Raman College of Engineering for B.Tech in Marine Engineering, seems to be impossible at this score but you can try your best upto to the last round of the counselling in that you might be able to grab this stream.

Yes, your information is absolutely right. IPU has decided to utilize ranking of students in JEE Mains exam to give admission to students in their engineering courses. This had helped students to avoid preparing and appearing for one more entrance exam and at the same time it has helped the university in avoiding all the hassles that are associated with conducting an entrance exam. In fact I am of the opinion that parents and students must exert pressure on the Govt. of India for having only one pan India entrance exam for engineering on the lines of NEET for medical courses.Best wishes to you.

B.Tech is Bachelor in Technology. It is four years degree programme after completing class 12th Science. JEE is an entrance exam for this. JEE is divided into JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. After clearing JEE Mains, candidate is eligible for JEE Advanced. Exams are MCQ types and it is online exam.

You can get B.Tech IT in private colleges. The minimum eligibility criteria for many private colleges is 50% and 45% for reserved categories. So you can apply in private colleges. Hope this helps you.

Hi, if you are talking about cut off for general category in JEE mains then according to the latest report, it is 70 to 80 percentile.
The aspirants should cross this number to be qualified for the next stage.
