B.Tech Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for taking admission to B.E. / B.Tech at Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT)According to educational qualification, candidates are required to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.Admissions through WBJEE or JEE Main: Admission into the institute is primarily based on the WBJEE or JEE Main scores. The candidates need to appear for one of these entrance exams to get shortlisted for the counselling process.Age Restriction: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by 31st December during the year in which they seek admission.Depending on the institute's policy, other requirements may be applicable.

Eligibility criteria for B.E./B.Tech programmes by Apollo Engineering College are the same as those set by Anna University. The applicants should pass the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2), with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects. You should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% for backward class categories, economically weaker sections, and persons with disabilities).All India Candidature Candidates:You should be an Indian national and have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Electronics . You should have obtained at least 45% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with non-zero positive scores in JEE Main (B.E/B.Tech).Additionally, candidates who have completed a minimum 3-year Diploma in engineering and technology with at least 45% marks are also eligible for admission .
