B.Tech Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for B.E./B.Tech in Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Chennai are generally a pass with 50% marks for 12th (considering subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) 45% for candidates of reserved category, whose parents falls under the respective reserved category. The eligibility criteria for B.E. / B.Tech at St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering (SXCCE) are as follows:Educational Qualification:Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects.For candidates with a vocational stream background, engineering/technology-related vocational subjects with Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry are also eligible.Minimum Marks:For General Category (OC): Minimum 45% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined.For Backward Class (BC) and Backward Class Muslim (BCM): Minimum 40% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.For MBC, MBCV, and DNC: Minimum 40% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.For SC, ST, and SCA: Minimum 40% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.Vocational Stream: Candidates must have passed in any engineering-related vocational subject with a minimum of 45% for General Category and 40% for other categories in the combined theory and practical marks in related subjects.Rounding of Marks: Rounding off the minimum eligibility marks is not permitted.HSC Vocational: Candidates from the vocational stream with engineering-related subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry must meet the minimum eligibility criteria specific to their category.This is the eligibility for admission into B.E. / B.Tech courses under the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).
