Hi Arshpreet,
Yes, you can apply for a B.Tech program in Australia after you complete your Diploma in India. You must take IELTS or TOEFL before your application.

Dear Chinmay,
You need 12th or 12th qualification with PCM with a minimum score of 60% to 65% depending on the university you are applying to and overall 6.5 with no band less than 6 in IELTS. You can google and select your college and go the site and check the application process and apply or else use the services of a good education consultant and it will be free as they do not charge for Australia.

If your 10 + 2 grades are good enough you should try for BS or B.Eng. Going during the Bachelor degree program sometimes is more useful as it gives you better exposure at an early stage. Its totally your choice, you must keep in mind factors like requirements, budget etc.
