Following is the eligibility criteria and the date is over. Diploma engineering is not prescribed as a qualification but in many cases it is considered as equivalent to 10+2 qualifying in IMUCET is mandatory for admission.

IMU is a central government sponsored institution. It offers degrees in marine as well as many other related topics. Admission is easy, if you have studied well for their entrance exam.

The Indian Maritime University, Chennai is a central university established by the Government of India for the development of trained human resource for the maritime sector. IMU conducts Common Entrance Tests for Admissions in B.Sc in nautical science and B.Tech in marine engineering programmes of the IMU and its affiliated institutes.
