If so then you are not eligible for lateral admissions since these are given after completion of diploma.But yes, those students who have already appeared for 12th can definitely seek admission in this institute by following proper procedure.

You can get admission in B.Tech through JEE score. Earlier admissions in marine engineering government. Institutions used to take place from your JEE advance rank, but nowadays there is a separate examination known as IMUCET. All admissions in top marine engineering institutions in India take place on basis of your rank in IMUCET examination. Except fore IITs where your JEE rank counts, every other institute has its own entrance examination. Now, all you need is to clear IMUCET and college-specific Entrance Test (if any).

No. Only discipline in mechanical engineering or discipline in marine engineering.

You have to qualify in Diploma in mech engineering or Diploma in marine engineering.
