Hi, Yes, there are private institutions in Delhi, where the B.Tech admissions are being run, since, engineering is one of the most preferred courses among students worldwide. There are more than 120 engineering colleges in India offering Distance / Correspondence B.Tech courses, of which 33% are private, few are public and some are private government colleges. Good Luck!

Dear Giri, Both B.Tech in Mechanical and Automobile engineering are good for career prospects. You have to make sure that from which university or institute you are pursuing the degree. The following are the best institutes for these programmes:
IITs/NITs
Delhi Technological University
Lovely Professional University
Anna University
Amrita University
SASTRA University
My friend did B.Tech and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from LPU and got placed in an MNC. The highest package offered for the programme at LPU is INR 31 LPA. For more details, I recommend you to refer to the website of the university
I hope this helps
Thanks!

Both the branches are 2 different streams. If you aim to be a software engineer or if you are a good coder you can opt for VIT. If your aim is to become a mechanical engineer you can opt sastra. Now a days software industry has high demand if they study well they can get job easily that is not the case for mechanical engineering.
