If you are planning to target IITs and NITs for BTech Mechanical Engineering, the tuition fees along with additional hostel and admission charges, make the degree course quite expensive for someone coming from a lower middle-class background. No, you cannot pursue BTech Mechanical Engineering with PCB stream in Class 12 as the eligibility criteria at almost all of the best private and government colleges and universities in India asks for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in Class 12. Mathematics is considered to be a crucial subject for the student to enter the field of Mechanical Engineering. Hi aspirant! Yes, you can get admission at some good colleges offering BTech Mechanical Engineering after securing 45% marks in Class 12 but the minimum eligibility criteria of one college would be different from the other. For example, if you wish to get into any of the IITs, the minimum Class 12 marks requirement is of 75% along with entrance exam marks.
