 I am afraid that Diploma holders are not allowed admission in NIT but they are allowed admission in IIT. This is a very typical situation but drivelling at the moment. Perhaps the time has come for parents to exert pressure on the government to allow Diploma holders to take admission in NIT is on the lines of IIT. Presently after Diploma you can take admission in graduation in mining in one of the IIT after passing JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. It depends on how many seats are vacant there. If there are 60 seats vacant in the second year then there are a total of 60 seats for lateral entry students.
