For Biotechnology Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 75 students who applied to placements, 65 students were placed meaning almost 90% placement for Biotechnology which is astonishing considering the fact many core Companies rolling out offers. The minimum salary offered was 3.5 LPA. The average salary was 7 LPA and the maximum salary was 18 LPA for biotechnology specialisation. All these figures pop out a good reputation at NIT-Warangal. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework, NIT-Warangal ranks 34th among the engineering colleges in India. For Computer Science Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 108 students who applied to placements from CSE department, 107 students were placed meaning 90.1 percent placement for CSE which is quite an impressive number. For CSE, the minimum salary offered was 3.3 LPA. The average salary was 13.5 LPA and the maximum salary was 20 LPA. All these figures suggest pretty good placements at NIT-Warangal. Many job opportunities are there for Chemical Engineers in pharma companies. The placements at National Institute of Technology, Surathkal of Chemical are really good. The placement ratio is almost 90%. Many multinational IT companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. , visit the campus every year and take students from here. The minimum package offered for this branch is around 4-5 LPA, average package is around 7-9 LPA and the highest is 15 LPA. NIT, Surathkal is one of the top NITs and is known across the India. According to the National Institutional, Ranking Framework NIT, Surathkal ranks 22nd among the engineering colleges in India. For mining engineering, last year (2016-17) out of 32 students who applied for placements from mining department 21 students were placed meaning 65 percent placement for mining which is quite a good number for mining engineering. For mining engineering, the minimum salary offered was Rs 3.3 Lacs per annum. The average salary was Rs 5.6 Lacs per annum and the maximum salary was Rs 9.3 Lacs per annum.
