The cut-offs for ECE usually are high and so the students who get this branch have an in born aptitude for doing well in academics. DTU ECE students are yearly recruited by top companies like Qualcomm, Airtel, SanDisk, TI, Texas, Samsung, ARM, Nvidia, Freescale and many other core electronics companies. Major Analytics based roles provided and companies participating here. The average package lies in the range of 6.5 LPA CTC. Companies like Amazon, Zomato, Pepperfry, Cisco, Oracle, Jpmorgan, Morgan stanley, Microsoft, Flipkart, Intuit, Makemytrip, Fractal Analytics, Relinace Industry, Tata Consultancy, Lodha Developers, Runwal group, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Forge, etc. Recruit the students. The best chemical department in all of the NIT present in India. That being said, I would like to suggest you that you should only take up chemical engineering if you are passionate about the field and not considering the placement as a factor of your choice. Chemical course at NIT, Tiruchirappalli would be a fun course for you as any other student of the college. The college managers to have a total batch placement percentage of 100% and almost every student gets placed at which level company he wishes to be placed at. Students placed was 95 percent. For the Civil department, it was 95 percent for in 2016 and a whopping record of 100 percent in 2017. Last year, total percentage of students placed across all branches was 96.7 percent. Coming to ICE department, the placement percentage was a bit more than the overall percentage and stood at 96.9 percent. It is worth mentioning that the placement was 100% for ICE in 2014 and 2015. The major roles offered were in core, IT and management. Students should keep in mind that profile of job is also of utmost importance as much as the pay because the experience you get in a particular profile shapes your future career.
