Don't expect too much from IPEC. If you think you are going to get great CS education and exposure then you are wrong. It's an above average college. There is a reason why it's not above IITD, NSIT, DTU and IIITD.
Don't worry about placements, if you land up in a good college under IPEC especially in CSE program, you'll get ample of opportunities to land a good job unless you do nothing in the 4 years.

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams and buildings.
BVP, Pune is not very much known for its civil branch as less no of core civil companies came there for placements so most of the students shift towards IT companies.

The placement at Harcourt Butler Technical University of Mechanical Engineering is good. The placement ratio is almost around 75 to 80% placement.
The average package offered is around 3 to 5 LPA.
Since mechanical engineering is amongst evergreen fields, the placements in this branch will increase with good amount of packages. The college provides for an average placement package of around 3.5 lacs and that too in IT corporate companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture or actually mass recruiters which tells about the state of placement in the college.
