The placement scenario varies from year to year especially in chemical engineering of Haldia Institute of Technology.
In 2017, various core companies recruited students from HIT like Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Adani Wilmar, Topchem Cement, Praxair, Wacker, S.G Biogas, IR Chemicals, Oriental Nicco, Chemtex, Voith Paper, Sanmar, and Almal.
Many IT companies mass recruited chemical engineers like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc.
Some chemical engineers from Haldia Institute of Technology got a chance to get placed in sales companies like Berger, Amazon, but these two companies recruited students through off campus placemen

Aeronautical engineering is a study about the design and systems of an aircraft. It involves practical and theoretical understanding of materials, assembling parts, testing and maintenance of aircrafts. Professional engineers working in this domain have to be licensed aeronautical engineers.

SVNIT is amongst the top 10 NITs of India and also one of the oldest technical institutes. It was established in 1961 with just 3-4 branches and mechanical was one amongst them.
So, being among the oldest institutes and one of the oldest core branches, the department is well settled and well equipped with the required necessary labs also a no. of new labs have been constructed which will mostly start in this academic year. It has faculty members with ocean of knowledge in various fields of Mechanical Engineering.

Microsoft, Cisco, Broadcomm, Freescale, NetApp, Adobe, Goldman Sachs etc. used to hire from NIE. However don't expect companies like Amazon, Google, Apple, would come and hire from NIE. These guys don't hire from most of colleges except for IITs and

Overall, about 70% of the students get placed, most of them in Infosys and Accenture, two major recruiters here. Computers Science and Information Science sections record 100% placements with ECE, EEE & Telecom the following suit

It is one of the best private colleges in West Bengal.
And civil engineering is one of the core branches offered by the Haldia Institute of Technology.
This college is also known for its faculty, infrastructure and campus.
Affiliated to the Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, the students of civil engineering are given hand on experience and training in the campus.

Placements: The placements of MIT are surprisingly good for almost every branch. The CSE department have had a 100% accuracy when it comes to placements and it is the same every year with an average package for these two branches being around 10-15 lakhs per annum (LPA).
