MIT is one of the most reputed colleges in South India. It was initially an autonomous institution later affiliated to Anna University. The college is known for the departments like Electronics and Instrumentation, Automobile Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering. It also has strong alumni base. Few of the notable alumni are Dr. Abdul Kalam, Sujatha (Writer). So, all in all MIT is a great place to be in for Engineering.
The placement for CSE in Madras Institute of technology is good but it also had its bad years.

Hi there,
Sinhgad College of Engineering is a technical education institute in the city of Vadgaon, Pune, India. It was established in the year 1996.Placements of the college is very good for CSE/IT & E&TC branches but the stats are quite pathetic for mechanical and civil branches.

Hi there,
D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering is affiliated to Pune University and approved by the AICTE. The college offers Bachelor of engineering and Master of engineering courses.
Few core companies will come for recruitment for mechanical engineering branch.
Lots of IT companies will come for recruitment and students will get placed in bulk. A student with decent communication skill and little bit practice of aptitude can easily get placed.
The average package is Rs 2.1 lakhs and the highest is Rs 6.75 lakhs.

CSE is undoubtedly the better branch at MANIT. If you consider academics, it's pretty much the same as all the other NITs. This year nearly 75% students got placement offers. Big firms like MS, Google, and Epic Systems visit the campus, so if you're a hard worker then you have bright prospects.

Total no. of jobs offered: 199
No. of placements 187 (98.9%). 2 students choose higher studies.
Highest package offered is 27 LPA by Amazon India (3 students of CSE)

This year's placement stats of every IIT were influenced by the Make in India campaign of the Indian Government and because of this campaign, not only the number of core companies increased but it also embarked enthusiasm for core companies among students. This initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi meant that the institutes give early slots to core companies over non-core ones.
