Placements for surface coating branch is also good as the number of students opting for placement is less than students who chooses for the higher studies. The percentage of placement of surface coating was almost 99% this year.

Hi there,
The Placement Statistics of Techno India is quite good, if you are looking at the numbers, you might get a bad data. But if you go through the Department wise placements you can get the exact status.
although 80-90 % of eligible candidate from ECE, CSE, IT are placed,
While in other department like EE, EIE, FT the placement statistics is quite average (40-50%) significantly, low placement for Mechanical and then Civil.
To be frank, the placements stats of civil branch at techno India is very much pathetic, hardly any core civil company came there for placements,but if you are good at programming and have some knowledge of C / C+,

We have got average placements for chemical engineering department in VIT, Pune. Highest salary package was Rs 8 lakhs per annum last year (excluding IT companies). Average package is around Rs 4 to Rs 4.5 lakhs per annum. Some of the top notch companies coming for placements are NFL, Loreal, Alfa Laval, Techno force, Pernod Ricard, Praj, Emerson, Honeywell.
Moreover, from this semester onwards final year students are supposed to do a semester long internship in core companies related to their respective branch. The plus point of VIT being, people are getting PPOs (pre placement offers) from the companies they are doing internship in. T
