You have not mentioned your branch. However, I will try to answer. After B.Tech, you can do M.Tech and enter educational field. You can appear for civil services examination of UPSC. You can take up job during placements.

Well, you can go for MBA if you want to enhance your job skills which will give you an edge during company placement or you can sit for GATE.
Also, there are several vacancies in different organisations/departments (namely ISRO, Naval Academy, ONGC, IOC, etc.)

This is the course that most students pursue once they complete their engineering. This course has many takers because of the job opportunities that it has to offer. Gap years and acceptable and condoned by HR executive in campus placement interviews if candidate meets all company specific eligibility criteria. If you have good score in your engineering degree, you clear written technical round and have excellent personal interview and selection board is convinced that you are right candidate for them you will get job. If you are upright and even share true reasons of gap, it will be appreciated by selection board and you will get job.

Hello Jesal,
M.Tech eligibility normally depends on the subject in which you have done your B.Tech. As you have done B.Tech in solar/alternate energy, you are eligible for M.Tech in environmental protection or such similar subjects.

Yes. It is possible to drop MS. Of course, you will have to fulfill other conditions if any of this institute before joining. It's a good institute to pursue MS.
