Hello,
You can join directly after B.Tech.
If you pursue B.Sc (Nautical Science) in the officer cadre, it will lead you to become the captain after 5-7 years of experience.
Except for marine engineering candidates, others have to undergo 10 months pre-sea training which is offered by many institutes and port trusts or recruiting company itself. After that, you will be appointed as a 5th or junior engineer. It will take 5-7 years depending on your abilities to become a 'chief engineer'.
2)
Some of the colleges offering merchant navy are:
-The KLUB International Maritime Solutions, Kollam (Kerala)
-Zenith Ocean Ship Management Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur

Hi,
In terms of requirement of engineers - industry requires them in two levels. In junior level, they recruit Diploma engineer and B.Tech/ BE for senior levels. As you are in the mind set of job, your B.Tech degree is strong enough to fetch you a job in equivalent level.

To get a job in England is quite difficult for an Indian student as the work permit norms are very stringent. You should focus on getting a good job in a top IT company in India, and then going on-site to Europe/ US.

Hi,
CAT, MAT and XAT, etc. are for India. Whereas, GRE is for Master's degree in abroad. GMAT is for management courses abroad and TOEFL/ IELTS are English proficiency tests for all courses abroad. So, you can choose accordingly and research a bit more about it through the official websites.

Probably computer science.
While it might vary a little from department to department, learning CS will give you a good foundation for a career in animation (which is pretty much your only option if you want to make a career in animation).
I would bet that you will be able to take many animation courses for CS electives, thus getting the best of both worlds (getting a good foundation through CS, following your interests and expanding your potential are the ways to get employed in animation).
