Hi Sourbh, differs as per qualification and which country you want to work in. If you are planning to work in Germany, average salary is around the average pay for a mechanical Engineer is €40,000 per year. This might be less if for most fresher UG level jobs. Hope it helps.

Hey Shantanu,
Yes definitely one can prepare for Civil services after graduating with B.Tech in Computer Science. For IAS examinations you should be a graduate in any field and they are the gone days when students used to take arts for preparing IAS. You should better select a course in which you can perform better. Also select a university which offers quality education as this will be very useful for your examinations. Also if you go with B.Tech CSE than you will have alternate jobs while preparing for the exams.

To manage technical activities of organization a person needs to have technical knowledge. Therefore B.tech students are preferred by most companies for their above average technical and Analytical skills. Anyhow you must be aware that you need to have admission in reputed Gov institutes of top private colleges like
-Symbiosis
-Lovely Professional university,
-SRM etc
for a enhanced placement and package opportunity.
