Most of the BTech colleges and universities in India do offer some sort of marks relaxation if you belong to any of the reserved categories like the SC/ST/OBC/PwD. You can get 5% marks relaxation when it comes to the eligibility criteria as well as entrance exam/ Class 12 merit cutoffs. So basically, if the general category students are required to have at least 55% marks in Class 12 board exams for getting admission to BTech courses, you need 50% marks. The same formula applies to the admission cutoff lists as well.

It is not mandatory for you to give an entrance exam for getting admission to BTech degree courses in any of the specializations. There are a lot of popular engineering colleges in India that will admit you on the basis of your performance in the Class 12 board examination, given you have scored really good marks and are able to qualify for the merit cutoff released by the college. The minimum eligibility for admission to BTech courses is normally around 50 to 60% marks in PCM/PCB/PCMB subjects, depending on the specialisation you're interested in. Rest, you should be able to match the merit cutoff. A few colleges may also call you for

According to the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IARE), a B.Tech CSE graduate's average salary is ?3.5 Lacs to ?6 Lacs per annum. However, the maximum salary amount comes from the most prestigious companies or the candidates who have good communication skills, completed the internships, and shown good academics. It often occurs when the salary reaches ?8 Lacs or higher. TCS, Wipro, and Accenture as well as inexperienced companies distribute vacancies to potential trainees from IARE for them to work in their respective industries.
