Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) BSc admissions are entirely based on the score of CUET. For admission in UG courses candidates must appear in CUET-UG. The CUET exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), and the CUET application process is generally concluded between February and May.Candidates whose score/ rank in CUET is above the closing rank specified in the cut-off list released by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) can register for the counselling process, followed by document verification and fee payment. There is no such provision for getting direct admission for BSc course at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU). BBAU course admission is strictly based on the score of CUET conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates planning to pursue any particular course must take the CUET exam, and if the candidate is able to obtain a good rank that is above the closing rank mentioned in the cut-off list released by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), then the candidate can register for the counselling round followed by document verification and fee payment.

As per admission policy 2023, 50% seats of total intake are reserved for SC/ST applicant. A total of 10% for EWS and 5% for PWDs. However, reservation is applicable as per existing rules and norms by BBAU. According to the BBAU admission policy, seats under SC/ST category shall be interchangable if candidates under a given category is/are not available.

In vrious streams BTech course is offered such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc. Students who are looking for BTech admission at BBAU Lucknow need to pass Class 12 with 50% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. It is a four-year course spreaded over eight semesters.
