They are not the same. Culinary Arts is a broader field of food preparation and cooking, including elements like cooking techniques, food presentation, food safety, menu planning, and more. It is basically the creative and technical part of preparing and presenting food. However, A Chef is a skilled professional who works in a professional kitchen and is responsible for planning menus, supervising kitchen staff, and more.

There are multiple course which you can pursue after your 12th for becoming a pastry chef. A Diploma in Baking and Confectionary can be considered the best choice. Other than this is if you have interest in hospitality along with baking then you can even choose BHM and choose bakery as your specialization. You can even do certificate courses, additionally from top bakery institutes.
