You can't be an executive chef with a PG certificate. I would suggest you to get into any Kitchen management trainee post with any prominent hotel group after your BHM. And after that plan your PG.

Score is never an issue for this. You can pursue hotel management course from any of the renowned college they provide better Placements opportunities. For this private colleges are better and choice of college will be entirely yours.

B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is generally offered by Central Govts. IHMs and other institutes affiliated to NCHMCT and is of 3 years duration, while
BHM is mostly offered by private institutes affiliated to state universities and is of 4 years duration. Apart from this there is no such major difference as both the degrees are equally recognised by industry and for other purposes.

You can pursue graduation in hotel management.
There are two course for now, I guess:
BHM - Bachelor of hotel management
BCT - Bachelor of catering technology
BHM is for people who like service, housekeeping, receptionist they should have good communication skills.
BCT - is for those who like cooking want to become chef, it is a culinary filed.
So, you can choose BCT.
There are IIM in every state. It is a government institute proving course on both BHM and BCT. There are limited seats, apart from that private institutes. They will take you after conducting simple aptitude test and the standard fee is around INR. 80k to INR. 1.2 per year.

Either you need to apply for NCHM entrance for IHMs or you need to apply differently for respective hotel management universities.
Top hotel management universities or institutes are:
IIHM
Oberoi Institute of Hotel Management
Christ University
SRM
Amity University
Army Institute of Hotel Management

Dear Friend,
Can you please elaborate, what does your question mean. 'Chief' meanswhat? In which sector do you want to be 'Chief"? If I am not wrong, I think you want to ask about 'Chief" I.e. a professional cook, typically the chief cook in a restaurant or hotel. So for this, you have to do Hotel Management.
Best wishes!
