I would suggest you to go ahead directly to pursue hotel management course. According to me you should opt for a course Bachelors of hotel management and catering technology (BHMCT). Usually according to the norms of UGC this degree is of 4 years duration that means 8 semesters will be there. Now the question arises from where does degree should have to be pursue, although the choice is totally in your hands and you should compare will try to pursue this degree from any of the school of hospitality and management. 1. Associate Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Catering Technology.
2. Diploma in Food and Beverage Science.
3. Diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management.
4. Bachelors in Culinary Arts (or Bachelors in Catering and Culinary Arts)
5. Bachelors in Hotel or Hospitality Management. So from above Bachelor in Culinary Arts and Bachelor in Hotel or Hospitality Management are the most preferred courses for becoming as Chef.
