MD can be pursued after a BAMS course. The full form of BAMS in medical terminology is Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery. It is an undergraduate course of 5.5 years in India. Doctor of Medicine is a postgraduate course and requires a Bachelors in medicine or related fields.The eligibility condition for getting into an MD course is that the candidate should have completed his or her undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks along with the qualification in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, popularly called NEET PG. B.A. M.S is traditional system of medicine where you learn Ayurveda and you'll be treating patients with your ayurvedic preparations and panchkarma treatments. Step 1: determine your mind that you are ready to give your heart and soul to it. Even ready to spend 1 to 1.5 years with reading.
Step 2: determine if you want to take UPSC coaching or self study. (My suggestion if you have your blood relation know about or in preparation of UPSC take their suggestion or go for coaching classes) and must know that institute is just for guidance and you only have to study. (Have it in mind, it helps)

After BAMS course, you have to chances to get a government job through GPSC. In BHMS, it is not possible nowadays. However, consulting homoeopathy is quite good. If you want to do general practice there is no importance of BAMS or BHMS.

There is a good scope in every field.
1) BHMS:
After the course completion, you may find employment as:
-Homeopathic practitioner in both India and abroad.
-Medical representative at a private or government hospital.-Professor or a researcher in any homeopathic college.
-You may start personal clinic.
-You may setup retail shop of homeopathy medicines.-You may work in industries dealing with homeopathic preparations.
-You may start your own pharmacy.
