There is no national level entrance examination for BAMS BHMS as such for admission. But Its done on state level. However certain private universities conduct their own exams.

Hi Dear,
In medical stream, degree and skill matters. Its doesn't matter whether you have done your BAMS or BHMS from Private or Government. learn well and be a good doctor.

The Under-graduate Course, Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is of 5½ years duration (4½ years of the main course and 1 year internship). The main course is divided into 3 Professional Courses of 1½ years duration each. The admission qualification prescribed by the University of Rajasthan is Senior Higher Secondary examination in Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)

BAMS is better if you are getting into Government Colleges. There's not much job openings in BAMS. Otherwise you can go for B. Pharm

For admission into BAMS and BHMS courses, you need to appear for state level Medical Common entrance examination for government colleges. Private colleges conduct their own entrance.
