Banaras Hindu University is ranked eight among the top university and colleges under the “Medical” category by NIRF 2023 rankings. No, there is no provision for additional benfits to the students who are residents of Varanasi. However, the university may admit students under Employee Quota. Wherein, son/daughter of BHU employees get benefits under the quota. There are 10% of seats of total admission. Additionally, the OBC, ST, and SC quota makes it up to 25%. Hence, there are 48% of seats for the general category candidates. The information mentioned here is taken from the web and hence, is indicative.

No, you may not be allowed to apply for another course in the next year. As per the guidelines, a candidate may not be allowed to pursue two degree programmes at the same time. However, applications can be accepted for admission to Banaras Hindu University Diploma or certificate courses. If you want to discontinue one course for another, then you will have to cancel admission in the running course before applying for another course.

As per the NIRF 2023 Rankings, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) holds the fifth rank in the 'University' category. The University provides a great array of studies related to all areas of the humanities, social sciences, technology, medical sciences, visual arts, and performing arts by the many undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate courses. The insititute conducts a GD and PI round after reviewing the CAT results for admission to the BHU MBA and MBA IB programs. The CAT Score are weighed 50%, while the GD and PI performance are weighed 30%. Academic performance will hold the final 20% of the weight.
