Being a humanities institute, activities are field-based. Many students go into research, teaching, writing, and even NGOs. Depending on the role, salaries can range from INR 20,000 – INR 40,000 per month. Some even dabble in journalism, publishing, or manufacturing. But it's more about desire than great reward. Networking and internships in the course help a lot in finding a good role.

Manipal Centre for Philosophy & Humanities (MCPH), Bangalore, can feel expensive to some students, especially because it's a private institute. Annual fees for programs here are usually around INR 1-2 lakh, depending on the course. Plus, students may also need money for living costs in Bangalore—rent, food, transport—adding INR 10,000– INR 20,000 per month. For some, the quality of education and professors might make the cost worth it. But, compared to government universities, it's on the higher side. Scholarships and financial aid, if available, can help ease the burden.
