For admission to BA LLB programme at RV University Bangalore, candidates must have completed Class 12th from a recognised board of education. The minimum required percentage in Class 12th is 45% in aggregate. Apart from this, the university also accepts few entrance exam scores for admission to BA LLB programme. The accepted entrance exams are RVSAT/ CLAT/ LSAT India. After qaulifying the exam, counselling is conducted then the candidates have to appear for personal interview at the university campus for final admission.

After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The placement rate for UG (5-year) and UG (4-year) courses has been fluctuating from 2021 to 2023. For PG (2-year) courses, the placement rate dropped from 2021 to 2022 and for 2022 and 2023 the percentage of students placed has been the same. The Bangalore University average package is not out officially. However, the University has disclosed the median package in the NIRF report 2024. The median package for PG (2-year) and UG (4-year) courses has been fluctuating from 2021 to 2023. On the other hand, the median package for UG (5-year) courses dropped from 2021 to 2022 and for the last two years, it has been constant.
