Birsa Agricultural University is the only agricultural university of Jharkhand. It has faculty of agriculture, veterinary, forestry, dairy, fisheries and biotechnology in it.BAU being a government college has a good infrastructure, campus size and professors here are well qualified. The total fees to pursue B.Tech at BAU is approximately 40,000RS which is quite affordable as compared to the other government colleges offering the same degree.

Students must have PCM in their 12th in order to pursue B.Tech at BAU. The students also have to appear for the jceceb exam and as per the marks obtained they will be allotted colleges.

No particular dress code is followed at BAU. However during the first semester, the students are required to bear the dress code prescribed by the respective colleges. For instance, forestry students' dress code is Pista green shirt and deep green trousers for boys. For girls, it is shameej and salwar of the same colour.

University is having altogether 14 student hostels out of which 5 are for girls while rest 9 are for boys. Students also have the option of renting a PG as they are easily available closer to the campus. However, the prices of Pgs may range depending on the facilities one may need.

Yes, there are seat reservations in BAU. The reservations are available for Schedule caste (SC), Schedule tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Econmicaly weaker section (EWS). The percentage of seat reservation is depend upon the number of citizen abvailable in the state and it is regulated year by year.

Hello Santosh, you can pursue B.Sc. In Forestry at BAU - Birsa Agricultural University based on your degree merit, B.Sc. Forestry eligibility criteria requires a candidate to have a class 12th or equivalent Diploma from a recognised board and a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination. B.Sc. Forestry trains students in the management of plantations, various cash crops, sanctuaries, botanical gardens and forests.
