The selection to BCA course is based on SEE score. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The applicant should have passed Class 12 (second PUC of the Karnataka state or its equivalent) as recognised by Bangalore North University to apply for the BCA course. The New Horizon College, Marathahalli has set a minimum percentage requirement in class 12 that candidates must attain. Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate in PCM from a recognised school is the basic eligibility for BCA offered at Invertis University. For general BCA, Maths is not compulsory. SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 45% aggregate to be eligible for the programme.
