A pass in Class 12 in any stream with at least 45% aggregate is required to apply for BCA course. Those candidates who have passed their matriculation examination and have also passed three-year Diploma in any trade from Punjab State Board of Technical and Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal are also eligible.

The selection criteria for BCA course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Additionally, candidates must pass Class 12 in any stream with at least 45% aggregate to apply for BCA course.
