BCA Eligibility

One must pass Class 12 with Maths/ Computer Science/ Information Practice/ Computer Applications/ Multimedia & Web Technology/ Data Management/ Application/ Web Application (provision of a bridge course in Maths available for non-Maths background applicants) to apply for the BCA course. Candidates passing Class 12 with at least 80% aggregate are eligible for direct admission to BCA course. Additionally, admission to BCA is based on merit in the last qualifying exam or CUET UG score. As soon as the selection rounds are over, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the college. The total tuition fee for BCA is INR 4.80 Lacs as per an unofficial source. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. 

Admission to BCA course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Besides, candidates must pass Class 12 in any stream with at least 45% aggregate to apply for BCA course. Those candidates who have passed their matriculation examination and have also passed three-year Diploma in any trade from Punjab State Board of Technical and Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal are also eligible. After the completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the college. The total fee for BCA is INR 2.34 lakh. The fee is calculated based on semester. The admission prerequisites for the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme at Ranchi University entail the following conditions:Educational Qualification: Applicants are mandated to have successfully completed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a duly recognised board or university, demonstrating a minimum aggregate score of 50%.Compulsory Subjects: It is imperative that candidates have included Mathematics and English as obligatory subjects during their 10+2 level of education.Furthermore, in conjunction with the aforementioned eligibility criteria, candidates may be stipulated to partake in an entrance examination administered by the university. The selection of candidates for enrollment into the BCA programme will be determined by an amalgamation of their performance in the entrance test and their academic standing.
