One must pass Class 12 with Maths/ Computer Science/ Information Practice/ Computer Applications/ Multimedia & Web Technology/ Data Management/ Application/ Web Application (provision of a bridge course in Maths available for non-Maths background applicants) to apply for the BCA course. Candidates passing Class 12 with at least 80% aggregate are eligible for direct admission to BCA course. Additionally, admission to BCA is based on merit in the last qualifying exam or CUET UG score. As soon as the selection rounds are over, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the college. The total tuition fee for BCA is INR 4.

Admission to BCA course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Besides, candidates must pass Class 12 in any stream with at least 45% aggregate to apply for BCA course. Those candidates who have passed their matriculation examination and have also passed three-year Diploma in any trade from Punjab State Board of Technical and Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal are also eligible. Candidates are eligible to take admission to BCA without being from Mathematics backgrounds. Even those from Humanities and Medical background are eligible for BCA. But for MCA, Mathematics in Class 12 or UG-level is the minimum requirement.

To be eligible for BCA programme, a candidate needs to pass Class 12 from a recognised board with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ ST candidates).

Candidates need to pass Class 12 with with English and Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics or Physics or Chemistry or Biology or Accountancy or Elements of Accountancy, Elements of Economy or Statistics or Psychology or Sociology or Philosophy or Geography or History to apply for BCA (Hons) course. Candidates must hold all the valid documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission.
