A pass in Class 12 in any stream with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) is required to apply for the Brainware University BCA course. Reservation policies of the Department of Higher Education, West Bengal will be followed for admission in reserved seats for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD. Candidates must hold the documents required for verification at the later stages of admission. A pass in Class 12 with Mathematics at Class 10 level with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for TMU BCA course. Admission to all undergraduate courses (including BCA) is merit-based, except for Media courses where students need to qualify Loyola Visual Aptitude Test (LoVAT). To be eligible for BCA at Loyola College, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics, Business Maths or Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognised board. BCA applicants are required to achieve a 10+2 score in each specialisation (Arts, Commerce, Science) by a recognised body with an overall grade of 50.     Applicants must have English and Maths as compulsory subjects in 12th grade.

In the Maharaja Agrasen University they give admission to any coarse student . If a student want to take admission in BCA coarse then there is a need of maths because for doing computer programming and computer fundamentals there is need to have a good knowledge of maths but they also give non maths student to take admission in the university.
