You can try to learn the skills of the area in which you have interest and want to work in future. Learn it, implement it and create 23 sample projects of your own to show case them during interviews. For example- If you want to get an internship as a web developer, then you should be able to create a clean and intuitive website on your own and in addition to that you should have 23 websites made and monitored by you. So, you can use them as your personal projects and show case them to your interviewers. Generally, getting an internship is not a difficult task but to get a paid-internship is tough. So, make sure that you learn your skills by heart and gain some experience before applying for internships. You can get internship in various categories, try to go for that internship which suits you and your career better. Let's say that you want to work as a developer in future but you get an internship in social media marketing and that will not provide any strength in your resume.

It is not about the subjects, it's about the skills while seeking internships. Determine the area in which you want to work as an intern, it can be web designing, social media marketing, app development, web development, digital marketing, programming, graphic designing, content writing etc. You need to be good in that area and should have a good amount of knowledge & experience about how things work, in addition to that you should have some projects of your own to show it as a sample to the company. In conclusion, your selection totally depends upon your skills and knowledge in that field which you want to work. Remember that whatever you learn you need to excel on that, because companies expects a lot even from their intern. I personally was asked to create a replica of Amazon's Android App during my Android Development Internship. So, make sure that you learn your craft fully and don't leave any holes in between.
