Hello,Bachelor in computer application (BCA) is a Bachelor’s degree in computers. This is basically a three year course. Many companies in India (both in public and private sector) recruit graduates in computer application. Private sector jobs after BCA: There are lots of job opportunities for graduates in computer application in private sector.Many private sector companies recruit Bachelor in computer application graduates. In the training period itself they can earn upto Rs. 20,000/- per month. The scope of getting a job and higher salary will be more for postgraduates. Public sector jobs after BCA: A BCA graduate can also find jobs in the public sector. Many public sector organizations recruit graduates in computer application. BCA is a three-year undergraduate degree. It's more suitable for students who love programming and are interested in becoming a software engineer. This degree is at the same level as B.Tech or BE degree in in computer science or IT.
Scope: There's always the option to complete Masters after your BCA. You can also complete Masters in IT (M.Sc IT) and if you get the hang of coding then you might want to develop your coding skills and become a Web Developer (web developers are in-demand nowadays) the other option is to go for Cisco Networking certifications such as CCNP and/or CCNA which gives your career a massive boost if you cleared both placing you in Companies like Microsoft, Cisco, etc. as networking engineer and more. Lastly, you can also get an MBA in IT management and try your luck to work overseas. BCA grads can also apply for government jobs easily.
