As per my research, there is no entrance exam for admission to BCA programme at NIELIT and students can definitely take a direct admission at National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Itanagar. The institute offers BCA, Certificate and Advanced Diploma courses in various specialisations. Candidates can directly apply on the official website of the institute for enquiry regarding admission.

The admission process for the BCA programme requires the personal and educational details of the candidates, they have to achieve a certain percentage in their class 12 set by the New Horizon College Marathahalli for the academic year 2025, and also require documents like a transfer certificate, a caste certificate (if applicable), and an anti-ragging affidavit. Once the application is received, merit in the candidate's last qualifying exam will be evaluated, and a merit list will be published with the shortlisted candidates.

The applicant should have passed Class 12 (second PUC of the Karnataka state or its equivalent) as recognised by Bangalore North University to apply for the BCA course. The New Horizon College, Marathahalli has set a minimum percentage requirement in class 12 that candidates must attain. BCA at New Horizon College, Marathahalli also has value-add programmes such as Machine Learning, Personality Assessment Programme, Foreign Language- French/ German etc.

Candidates for the BCA programme must have completed their 12th grade in the Science stream with at least 50% marks from any accredited board. A minimum of 50% in 10+2 or comparable exams with computer science, computer application, or maths as an elective or core subject is needed to be eligible for BCA. The three-year BCA degree is broken into 6 semesters.Out of 360 scores in CUET-UG, candidates must try to score more than 70% i.e., 250+ marks that get admitted to the BCA course at any recognised university that has better academic excellence, experienced faculty, and advance placement prospects.
