BDS Eligibility

To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme at the Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS) in Secunderabad, you must meet the following criteria:  EducationYou must have passed 10+2 or 12th grade with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English for UR and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.   AgeYou must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission, or you must turn 17 by December 31st of the year you are admitted.   Entrance examYou must have qualified for NEET-UG or Telangana NEET by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage.      

The candidate must have completed 17 Years of age at the time of admission or shall complete this age as on the 31st December of the Admission Year.He/ She should be medically fit to undergo the course and practice dentistry.Have passed the Karnataka II PUC examination or an equivalent examination in CBSE, ICSE or State Boards with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages.Have secured 50% Marks in these three subjects and English taken together. However, for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the minimum marks are 40%.Admission to the course shall be based on National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by National Board of Examinations.

To be eligible for admission to the BDS programme at ITS Dental College Hospital and Research Centre, candidates must meet the following criteria:Eligibility CriteriaAge Requirement:Candidates must be at least 17 years old on or before 31st December of the year of admission.Educational Qualification:Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination or an equivalent examination.They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in these subjects combined. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, the minimum requirement is 40%.Entrance Exam:Candidates must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) as per the guidelines set by the relevant authorities.Attendance Requirement:A minimum of 75% attendance in theory, practicals, and clinical sessions is required to appear for examinations.

First and foremost, one should have attained at least 17 years by December 31st in the year of entry. Secondarily, you must have completed your Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination or its equivalent with physics, chemistry, and biology as your main subjects along with compulsory English language studies. A minimum of 50% score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required for general category candidates while scores ranging from 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required of SC/ST/OBC candidates. Likewise, it is mandatory to appear in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Furthermore, candidates should either belong to Maharashtra state residence or they must pass HSC exam at an institution based in Maharashtra. The last but not least criterion is that one should be physically healthy so as to be able to provide a certificate issued by registered medical professionals and also a good conduct letter from former school.

In addition, it is required that you have scored a minimum of 50% marks in these subjects and for reserved categories 40%. It is also necessary for you to qualify the NEET exam which is a must when applying for dental colleges in India. Moreover, if you are planning to apply there should be a minimum age of 17 years. In addition, students who have gone through intermediate education from recognised boards including CBSE, ICSE or state boards are favored by the college. Further more it should be noted that there are some guidelines set by the college specifically meant for NRI and foreign students hence if you come from outside India make sure to look at those requirements as well.
