M.Sc. does require B.Sc. I am sorry but most colleges won't give you admission.

Hello Jaya, Bachelors in Dental Surgery and MBA in Hospital Administration and two different streams you cannot combine both of them. MBA in Hospital Administration is of no use for a BDS graduate because in MBA they will only teach you how to handle the hospital administration's and various roles & responsibilities to handle a Hospital. For BDS graduates, this degree is of no use.

Both has its own respect, scopes and requirement. There is huge shortage of Dentist in India added to fact that Alternative Therapies are now highly sought after in India. Both has its own financial expenditures, like eqiuptments used and so. Henceforth, do bit more homework of what suits you. If you ask me, though B.A. M. S. may have equally the same value but opt for BDS. The opportunities are quite diverse India and Abroad, especially when most of reports by Times of India and so speaks about shortage of Dentists in India.Candidates can check the table below to see the comparison between the two.ParticularsBAMS BDSFull Form&nbs

Instead of government, I believe that you must try with privately or jointly run medical colleges. Though the privately run colleges have quite a high fee, starting from 4 lacs P.A (tuition fees) in a common scenario. Still, you may try in the government seat under state quota but there are more chances for BDS.

Chances are bit slim, as of now even for your state quota. Try to check with some joint or privately run colleges.

Hi,
If you decide to go for MS after BDS, then you have ample of options.
placement - You might get placed in good hospitals in case you are able to score well else if you go for Biotechnology, you have also multiple opportunities at door step given you score well and get placed at good company in the manufacturing industry. No doubt that Bio technology graduates/PGs have high demand as well as MS. It would be better you go for BDS+MS in case you choose Dental Sciences.

Hi Parkavi, Both are of equal importance. It's best if you wish to start your own practice. Then, go for Masters. Going for a Master is well suited in both the cases like self practice as well as getting placed in hospitals or government. Organizations. If you hold a Maser Degree, your designation, work profile and pay scale might get a comparatively high boost. But if you are not willing to study anymore, you can go for Masters but people generally are preferring to visit an MD. I hope that helps.
