US does not recognize a dental license from India. The person must complete DDS from USA and be licensed through one of the boards (eastern, california, etc.) to be able to practice .Colleges which offer Advanced Standing Program (DDS/DMD) to foreign trained dentists require at least NDEB Part I. Most of the dental schools which offer this program require at least 83%.Foreign dental students can get into the Advanced Placement program of DDS wherein they join in the 2nd year of the program.
Typically, yearly expenses are in the range of US $ 80,000 to one lakh dollar. So, a two year program will cost US $1,60,000 to US $200,000.

Traditionally, those who do net get admission in MBBS, go for BDS. But now a days, there is a huge scope for BDS if you can have your own clinic with modern equipment.
Plain MBBS will not do unless you follow it up with MD/MS. If you compare salaries in hospitals, MBBS will always get higher remunerations compared to BDS.

If you feel like going overseas that is outside India you can go ahead with the course of your desired country. If you have got good management skills you can opt for hospital management courses provided by many private and government universities. You can get into research n get jobs in any pharmaceutical company or company dealing with dental materials. Business of dental materials, products and dental equipment and last but not the least leave apart dentistry and start up fresh for something new which i don't think is a great idea.
